Dubai with Mika

Our time in Dubai can be summarized as a luxurious, relaxed week with Mika and his fiancée Marianna. After a fabulous welcoming dinner from Mika’s favourite Uzbek restaurant, we arrived at Mika’s flat and didn’t leave it for 2 days :). He lives in a complex right at the Marina with a fantastic view and everything in the building to relax after some tiresome weeks: pool, squash courts, billiard, gym, supermarket and fast Wifi. Enough for us to not leave the house, do some exercise and research and cook together. When his fiancee arrived from Moskau, we became a bit more active, but stayed chilled and enjoyed 4 relaxed and fun days with them. We saw not only Dubai, but also did a fun desert ride tour, saw the mountains and the Indian Ocean at night, visited Abu Dhabi and discovered Dubai’s crazy malls and the Palm with its famous Atlantis hotel and all you can eat buffet. Thanks so much to them both for a fabulous week! How else could we end it than with another goodbye dinner with great Uzbek cuisine

Now we are recharged for our second half of our year, continuing with South Africa tomorrow.
