Bariloche

We started our journey from El Calafate to Bariloche with a 30 hours bus ride. It sounds aweful, but really it wasn’t that bad, even though we could not feel a thing in our bottoms after that ;). We arrived in Bariloche, also known as the Argentinian Swiss or Lake District, on the 19. December in the evening. We were happy with our cozy wooden hut hostel and slept like babies after that trip. The next day we took it slowly and discovered the lovely town during misty weather, while we were happy to then go on a biciycle tour the following day in perfect sunshine. We cycled to the old Swiss colony town and further to some nice lookout points over the lakes. In the evening we treated ourselves to a very lovely Swiss cheese fondue and tried the local chocolateries for desert. It was a nice pre-Christmas time to start getting us into the spirit.
